Brethren,

In November our Corinthian Lodge turns 165. I hope everyone will take the time to reflect on this milestone.

In December the lodge will be having elections of Officers for 2016. I want to thank the officers for all their hard work this year. We had wonderful time getting out in the community and showing our lodge pride. I had wonderful time these past two years being Worshipful Master of Corinthian Lodge. It was with great pride that I could serve Corinthian Lodge as Worshipful Master in 2014 and 2015. These last two years have been amazing. I see the pride our Officers take in serving our members.

Brother PM David Sandy from Mt Moriah Lodge #116, will be speaking on Collars, IQ Test, oblong Square and bees in our meeting in December. I hope that the lodge will have many Brothers in attendance as possible.

I would ask that if anyone of our Brothers who have not attended awhile to please come out and support your lodge. We have young member who are looking for mentors to help understand the history as well as symbolism of what it mean to be Mason. I hope the very best for our newly lodge leaders in 2016 and that the lodge will continue with more community activities in hopes of attracting more potential candidates.

Please note the secretary’s note on the Maryland Masonic Membership Manager. We are currently in the process of updating your records with the grand lodge but this is now something you can do yourself.

Brothers please check your dues cards, if you do not have 2015 dues card, you are in jeopardy of being suspended from the lodge. Please mail in your dues if you have not already done so already.

Sincerely and Fraternally,
Les Hodgson PM

Welcome Back my Brothers,

I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer break.

We had very successful events recently. We were able to help register 50 children for the MDCHIP Program and raised $200 for the Corinthian Lodge Charitable Foundation at the Towson Town Festival.  I would like to thank everyone who helped out at either event. It is always good to be out in our community providing services in the area in which we live.

The topic of conversation at our next meeting will be the future of Corinthian Lodge. We will be discussing ways to get even more involved in our community, reviewing the budget and discussing the possibility of a merger.

I am pleased to have Brother Robert D’ Antonio guest speak about how to raise funds for our Charitable Foundation for our October Communication.  I hope that we will have great turn out that night.

Brothers please check your dues cards, if you do not have 2015 dues card, you are in jeopardy of being suspended from the lodge.  Please contact Brother Secretary ASAP with any concerns or questions.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Hello Brothers,

Our booth at Towson Town Festival on May 2nd & 3rd was a great success.  By selling crafts at the festival we raised money for the charitable foundation and were even able to hand out some petitions.  Thanks to all the Brothers who came out to help make the items, Brother PM Dave Witherspoon, Brother Charles Fuller, Brother Joe Creamer, Brother Chris Moy, Brother PM John Reiter, and Brother Joe Frank Jr. and a special thanks to brother  Jay Ulshafer for the use of his tools and garage expertise to make this event a success.

Our MDchip Event at the Y on April 25th was a fun day and thanks goes out to all Brothers who came out to show their Corinthian Lodge Pride and especially to Brother Scott Schulte for organizing this effort.

Our Memorial Dinner for PM. Robert Shinnick will be at 6:30 pm on June 12, to be followed by presentations of 50, 60 & 70 year service awards. Please come out to visit us. We will have bounce Castle for kids, our raffle drawing and as always feel free to wear a sports shirt.

I want to congratulate following Brothers on their service awards.  Brother Robert Briscoe, Brother Carl Briscoe, Brother Bruce Mattheiss, Brother Raymond Vogel Jr., Brother Robert Jones and Brother George Della Jr on their 50 years as members of Corinthian Lodge #93. I’d also like to congratulate Brother John W. Yewell Jr and Brother Clifford Mink on their 60 years as members of Corinthian Lodge. We also have a 70 year member this year Brother Milton Shimmel.

Brother Dr. Samuel Deisher a 60 year award recipient will be receiving his posthumously and thus holds a special place in our heart.

I am also looking for anyone interested in walking in Towson 4th of July parade this coming year. I would like to have a strong showing of members as we march in the parade.  We have been approached by other Masonic lodges to walk as a group which will be another fun and exciting event for our brotherhood.

Look for more fun and exciting events to come.

Hello Brothers,

Our annual 50/50 Raffle will be mailed soon.  I encourage all to make every effort to help us sell our raffle tickets. 100% of the net proceeds are used for charitable contributions to various worthy causes. The lodge will have its annual drawing on Strawberry Night June 12th.

Do you think it has been cold lately? Well, a number of our lodge brothers participated in the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics of Maryland. Congratulations to all members of Team Iced Ts who raised $700 and took a chilly dip in the Chesapeake Bay on January 24th. Rumor has it that the water was 32 degrees.

I am pleased to report that Brother Junior Warden Scott Schulte is in discussions with the Y in Towson about sponsoring a MD Chip event and we have been invited to participate in their Child’s Day event at the Y in Towson on April 25th..  I am hoping to have as many members of our lodge come out and help as possible.

This event is 1 week before the Statewide Open House on May 2nd.  Our hope is to get out in our community and let everyone know about Corinthian Lodge and all the wonderful things that we do. The Y would also like for us to have future MD chips events in both Parkville and White Marsh.

The lodge is looking to have its Bylaw Committee meet to possibly move our meeting nights to another night in order to attract potential candidates. The first Wednesday of each month that is open at Mt Moriah Masonic temple.  As this would be a big change to our lodge we hope you will come to the meetings in March to discuss.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Les Hodgson PM
