Hello Brothers, Well my Brothers, this will be my last Trestle from East. It was with great pleasure to say Brother Joe has finished exemplifying the three degrees of Masonry as well as passed his law exam. Congratulations to you Brother SW as you make the final journey on election night to becoming Worship Master-Elect. I k now the lodge is very good hands with you as its new Worshipful Master. I like to start off by thanking all officers for all their hard work for past three years. The main goal of these past three years was moved our lodge forward and getting out into our community to let them know about our wonderful lodge. I had wonderful time working with Officers of this lodge. These officers have shown their love for our wonderful fraternity and I know going forward the lodge is in very place and the future is bright with these fine officers leading the way. I would like to also thank my wife Marisa for allowing me to be Worshipful Master these past three years. I also want to thank her for all her support during that time. On Nov 2nd, we will be having our regular communication starting at 7:30 pm; we will be going over items of to be voted on at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication. There will be light refreshments served after the meeting. The lodge will be set at ease so that Daughters of Bethel #36 can perform ceremony for us to see. Afterwards we will restart our meeting. On Dec 7th, we will be having our regular communication starting at 7:30 pm, will be having our Election of Officers for 2017. The lodge will go over results of Annual Communication of Grand Lodge of Maryland. We will be having guest speaker from Tall Cedar of Lebanon talking to us about Tall Cedars. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer recess. Please note our new meeting night. We are now meeting on First and/or Fourth Wednesday night of each month. Over the summer we walked as a lodge in Towson 4th of July Parade and hosted a cookout with other lodges and Job’s Daughter Bethel #36. Later in the month we hosted a second MD CHIP Event at Parkville Community Day at Parkville High School. At this event we registered 21 children and everyone had great time. It is always good to get out in community and show that we as Masons care. On Wednesday September 7th, we will be having our regular communication at 7:30 pm. It will be our first meeting back from summer recess. Tuscan Lodge #202 has approached our officers with a proposal to merge our lodges and we plan to discuss this at this meeting. We will also review the results of Semi-Annual Communication of Grand Lodge, confer the Fellow Craft degree on any worthy candidates and take up the GMW. Brother PM Dave Sandy we will be stopping by to give a talk on Ancient Metallurgy and Masonic Symbolism. Light refreshments to follow. Brother Joe Creamer expects to exemplify the Master Mason degree on Wednesday Oct. 25th. Please come out and support Joe and he finishes up his Masonic lectures and degree work for his journey to the East in 2017. Congratulations in advance to you, Bro. SW. Saturday Oct. 1 will be Annual Home Harvest Day at Grand Lodge. I hope many of you can make it out for the event and make a strong show of support for our lodge. On Wednesday October 5th we will be having our regular communication at 7:30pm where we will take up the GMW with our Grand Inspector. We will also confer the Master Mason degree on any worthy candidates. Our Guest Speaker will be Illustrious Marlin Mills from the Scottish Rite. Light refreshments to follow. On Friday October 7th, as lodge we will be going to Bonnie Blink to call Bingo for the residents. We start at promptly 7pm so please arrive no later than 6:45pm. Hello Brothers, We are half way through 2016 and are about to go to summer recess. I would like to congratulate Brother Joe Creamer for passing his exemplification on the second Degree and the rest of the officers on their fine work that evening. With the newly approved lodge bylaws our meetings will be now on the first and/or fourth Wednesday of each month starting in May. Please see trestle board for date of our regular meetings. We held the inaugural Chili CookOff on April 2. It was a fun time for all. We had seven people enter. Everyone’s chili was good. We also held MD CHIP event on April 30 at the YMCAs in Towson and Parkville and we were a hit. We are going back again next year. Saturday June 4th will be family day picnic at Grand Lodge. See the upcoming events in this trestle for more details. Friday June 10th is our annual dinner in memory of PM Bob Shinnick as well as our Strawberry Night. We will presenting 50 and 60 year service awards to brothers with their families present. There will be no meeting in June, just fun and fellowship. Brother Junior Deacon Chris Moy is participating in the Red Devils 5k run on Sunday June 12 at Goucher College. The organization is asking for volunteers to show up at 5am to help set up tents. A few of us will be there handing out water to runners as they compete during the race. There will be a presentation of a $500 donation from our Charitable Foundation to Red Devils Association. Br. Moy will present the check on the lodges behalf. Monday July 4th, Corinthian Lodge will walk in the Towson 4th of July parade with Mt. Moriah, Concordia, Tuscan and Bethel #36. A cookout will follow. Please bring your favorite covered dish or dessert for everyone to share. Later that evening we will travel to the Grand Lodge to see fireworks at Oregon Ridge. The Grand Master’s Ball will be held on Saturday July 23rd, please contact Grand Lodge at 410-527-0600 to order your tickets. On Sunday August 21st, I would like Corinthian Lodge to go to see the Orioles VS Astros at 1:35 pm. I would like to find out how many would be interested in going this day so that I can order enough tickets. Tickets are $15 per person if 15 or more people sign up to go. I need a count of people interested in going by no later than July 8th. Please contact me. If we are able to get 25 tickets sold, when the Orioles thank groups for coming out our lodge will be listed on the scoreboard. After the game kids 14 and under get to run the bases. Sincerely and Fraternally, Les Hodgson PM Worshipful Master
