We had a wonderful meeting on September 13th. In addition to catching up on Lodge business from the summer break, we managed to enter a new brother in to the fraternity, contribute more than $1,000 to various local charitable organizations and causes, pass an amendment to our by-laws, and lay out our agenda for the remainder of the year. Special congratulations to our Senior Warden, Mark Coulbourne. Mark conferred his first 1st degree lecture from the East and did a fantastic job!
In October, we look forward to passing our four Entered Apprentices to the degree of Fellowcraft. This work is expected to take place at our meeting on the 11th. Two weeks later, we look forward to hosting our annual Bingo Night at Bonnie Blink.
Plans for our Lodge Birthday Party, to be held on Past Master’s Night (November 8th), are coming together very nicely. As previously mentioned, the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Maryland, Gerald E. Piepiora, the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, and our Grand Secretary have already RSVP’d that they will be attending. The Birthday Committee is working on such things as:
How to cook enough lamb for 100 masons
A list of toasts in honor of our heritage
Incorporating a presentation about our lodge from the Grand Lodge Library and Museum
The cutting of the cake between the youngest and oldest mason present.
You may RSVP on our website (www.corinthian93.com) or by contacting our Senior Warden, Mark Coulbourne. His contact information is on the reverse side of the Trestle. Attendance at this event will be restricted to the first 100 masons who RSVP. It is shaping up to be a great event and I look forward to tipping a glass back with all who can attend.
I’ll see you all in lodge.
