As we look forward to the New Year, I hope you have enjoyed a healthy, happy and productive 2011. It has been an honor and a pleasure serving as Worshipful Master, and I look forward to furthering the goals and objectives we establish for 2012.
With that in mind, I invite you to join us at our Regular Communication on January 27th, 2012 to discuss your ideas for a successful year. Our eight newly raised Brothers will be exemplifying the Master Mason Degree that evening; please come out in support of these fine young men. We will be planning another bus trip for the Spring, this time to Mt. Vernon and the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Brother Mark Coulbourne has suggested a Chili Cook-off, and we are always open to ideas and ways to enjoy fellowship.
Newly raised Brother Jake Bucksbaum has been doing an excellent job volunteering to serve as webmaster for us. If you haven’t visited the new website, I would encourage you to do so. It can be found at www.corinthian93.com
With your help, this should prove to be an exciting year for our fine fraternity. There will be a second statewide Open House this Spring, the Grand Lodge is developing a new website to promote the event and provide ways to better serve the members. There is even talk of providing the means to pay dues online.
My Brothers, this is your lodge and fraternity. You will benefit in far greater measure than you might contribute, but only to the extent of your contributions. You have certainly heard of the 80/20 rule; unfortunately in our fraternity 90/10 would likely be more accurate. There are so many ways to become involved, and that doesn’t have to mean becoming a line officer.
I and all the officers are here to serve you; but the decision to become involved is up to you.
